R&D

Research and development has a long tradition in Pliva-Lachema. The development of cytostatic injections, antidotes, cardiovascular products and antivirotics began in the first half of the 1980s. The current orientation of our research and development is, however, somewhat different. We direct nearly all our activities towards the area of oncology, the research and development of cytostatics.

Successful approvals of generic drugs from in-house research and development by regulatory authorities in the European Union and the US or ongoing regulatory reviews of other anticancer products clearly indicate the direction of our future activities.
The high level of our research, development and production was recently affirmed by the inspection of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) who has classified the facility of PLIVA-Lachema as suitable for the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Sterile Dosage Forms for the American market.
