PLIVA LACHEMA - THE RESPONSIBLE CARE PROGRAMME FOR THE FOURTH TIME

The company PLIVA-Lachema a.s. has successfully fulfilled the objectives and goals of the Responsible Care "Odpovědné podnikání v chemii" voluntary programme for the fourth time and was granted the right to use the logo Responsible care until the end of the year 2009. The certificate was presented to Mr Tomáš Topinka, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of PLIVA-Lachema, by the president of the Chemical Industry Union at the ceremonial evening held on 5 October 2005 at the Lapidarium of the National Museum in Prague. PLIVA-Lachema a.s. signed the initiative in 1995. Therefore, it ranges among companies whose business activities comply with the basic code of responsible care.

The Responsible Care is a voluntary initiative of the chemical industry aimed at supporting its sustainable development by enhancing the safety of chemical plants and the transport of products, as well as improving the protection of human health and the environment. The programme represents a long-term strategy co-ordinated by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC). Its Czech version was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the president of the Chemical Industry Union in 1994.
